This isn't simply because I think ads are gross. It's deeper than that. I believe the ad model is responsible for much of the decisiveness we see today. The ad model leads to clickbait, false information, and other tricks designed to steal attention. Another model I refuse to implement is affiliate marketing, where authors are paid to sell you products and services.
